People
Geoff Paine – Creative Director.
Geoff started as an actor in the 80s, appearing on stage, television, radio and film, before moving into writing scripts and producing events for the corporate world. Geoff’s experience both behind the scenes and in front of the camera give him a unique insight into the production process, ensuring that his scripts are not only engaging, but portray the characters and situations in a realistic manner. When he’s not in the office, Geoff can often be found appearing in a variety of Australian television shows and films, or working on his own theatrical projects..
Chris Tomkins – Director/Editor.
To say Chris has done it all is an understatement (and an edit in itself). He’s produced, directed, edited and written for television, radio, internet and corporate communications.
He’s done TV commercials, music videos, animation, short films, corporate videos and the odd documentary. And just to broaden his skills even further, he’s recently made his first appearance as a Director of Photography on the short film ‘Rain for Morgan’, which has gone on to win a number of international awards.
Chris’s incredible post-production skills mean that all of our projects can be edited in house – including graphics, special effects, colour grading, green-screen comping, and just about any visual requirements you could ask for.
Chris completed a BA in Film & Television at Monash in 1998, with a major in Psychology on the side that he has already repressed.
Marisa Brown – Producer.
With an extensive background in writing, theatre, and music, Marisa joined Ready to Roll in early 2006. Since then, her exceptional organisational skills (coupled with the fact that she’s only one who knows where the spare pens are kept) have seen her rise through the ranks and take on the role of Producer.
Marisa brings a unique balance of practicality and creativity to her role – not only can she keep a project running on-budget and on-schedule, but she can write, direct, and (if you really twist her arm) play a really convincing background extra.
In the last few years, Marisa has produced dozens of corporate videos, has written / directed / produced two internationally award-winning short films, and still refuses to divulge the secrets of the spare pens to her workmates.
